SYDNEY: Australian cricket legend Shane Warne has passed away of a suspected heart attack. He was 52 years old. He was found in his villa in Koh Samui, Thailand.‘Shane was found unresponsive in his villa and despite the best efforts of medical staff, he could not be revived. The family requests privacy at this time and will provide further details in due course,’ Warne’s management said.Widely regarded as the best leg spinner the world has ever seen, Shane Warne was the second-highest wicket-taker in Test cricket when he retired.Warne, who was a close friend of many Indian players, including Sachin Tendulkar, was instrumental in helping the Rajasthan Royals win the inaugural IPL. Shane Warne played 145 Tests and 194 ODIs for Australia from 1992 to 2007.Warne picked up 708 wickets in his illustrious test career. He also scalped 283 wickets from 194 ODI matches
