Thiruvananthapuram: The baby believed to be of Anupama Chandran has been brought to Thiruvananthapuram by the Child Welfare Committee officials. The child has been shifted to a child care centre in the capital city under police protection.
The child was brought to Kerala in a flight from Hyderabad by 8.30 pm on Sunday night. A team including a representative from the Child Welfare Committee, a caretaker from Child Welfare Council and three police officers received the baby from Andhra Pradesh and safely brought to Thiruvananthapuram.
The child will be subjected to DNA test after two days. District Child Protection Officer will be in charge of the child’s protection till DNA results are received. As per reports, the baby has been shifted to a Shishu Bhavan in the city. It is learnt that the child will be accommodated at this centre until the final verdict in the case is pronounced.
