Kochi: The trial court on Thursday criticized the prosecution over their demand for the cancellation of bail granted to Actor Dileep in connection to the actress attack case. The court said that the prosecution should submit strong evidence to prove Dileep’s bid to influence the witnesses in the case. The judge reminded the prosecution lawyer about the responsibility of the post and warned that they should not tarnish its image.
Court also asked the prosecution whether they were shreds of evidence to prove Dileep is influencing the witnesses.
Never make claims based on assumptions and rumours. Concrete evidence is needed to make such a claim, the court said.
Court also slammed the prosecution over the allegation that court documents were leaked. The trial court asked the public prosecutor not to forget his role and not act as a police prosecutor.
Meanwhile, the court also directed officials to investigate how the voice clips and other evidence collected by the probe team got leaked.
