KOCHI: Pulsar Suni, the first accused in the actor assault case, has been admitted at the mental health centre. He was brought to the mental health centre in Thrissur from Kochi last evening.

Pulsar Suni was in Ernakulam jail as a trial prisoner. The Supreme Court had earlier rejected his bail plea. The jail authorities said the accused expressed mental disturbance after this. Mental pressure is the cause of it, informed the hospital authorities.

The apex court rejected his bail plea on July 13 pointing that the charges against him are serious and it is not right to intervene during the investigation. The accused demanded that bail should be granted as the trial proceedings are prolonging.
