In his latest book “REDEFINING LITERATURE “published in Amazon, Shajil Anthru talks about The Era of Zeroism, Fishbone Literature, World’s shortest story and how is it related to Zeroism and a screenplay about the birth of the shortest story.
Jack Foley – Poetry, Criticism, literary scholarship, radio promotion of poetry and poets, short story writer, play writer and many more. Words are not enough to introduce this extraordinary personality. A great Litterateur from California, United States of America.
Jack Foley says:
From time to time we need to be reminded that the poet’s adventures in the labyrinthine fields of language represent something that is good for you. Not merely entertaining or interesting or even imaginative but good for you: even healing. Shelley famously asserted in his “Defence of Poetry” that poets were “the unacknowledged legislators of the world.” More recently, Yuval Noah Harari asserted in his book, Sapiens that the human imagination was an immensely important factor in our evolutionary development. In “An Apology for Poetry,” the great English poet Sir Philip Sidney saw the poet as the mediator between worlds–the transcendent and the historical. Nature’s world, says Sidney, “is brazen, the poets only deliver a golden”–which is to say, among other things, that only poets deliver the possibility of radical change. Not for nothing did Plato fear the presence of poets in his authoritative Republic! Now, here is Shajil Anthru saying the same thing as all these others but saying it now, in an era of inhumane authoritarians and pandemics. We need his words badly. He is telling us something we know but need to know with passion.”
A great honor for an Indian Author – the world’s shortest story writer, founder of fishbone poetry, Zeroism and reflectoem.
