Thiruvananthapuram: Opposition Leader VS Achuthanandan on Friday alleged that Tenny Joppan and Shalu Menon got bail in the Slar scam case with the help of the state government. If things go this way, Saritha too might get bail, he said.
Meanwhile, CPI state secretary, Pannyan Raveendran said that the state government had not opposed the bail pleas of Joppan and Shalu Menon in the court and charged the government of taking the side of the accused in the case.
Earlier, Kerala High Court on Friday granted bail to Tenny Joppen, former personal assistant of Chief Minister Oommen Chandy and television actress Shalu Menon, both accused in the solar panel scam.
Joppen is in custody for over 52 days and Shalu for over 46 days. Both the accused have been asked not to leave the state for six months.
