The Rupee surrendered some of its early gains but is trading up by 11 paise to 64.44. This follows selling of the US currency by banks and exporters amid recovery in the equity markets.
The rupee resumed 25 paise higher at 64.30 rupees per dollar against the yesterday’s closing level of 64.55 rupees.
Forex dealers said, Finance Minister P Chidambaram’s assurance to investors yesterday and dollar volatility helped in improving the rupee sentiment.
