Thiruvananthapuram: The LDF will give its suggestion on Wednesday for inclusion in the terms of reference of the judicial probe ordered by the government into the solar scam.

The LDF sub-committee which was constituted to hold discussions on the terms of reference met at the AKG Centre here on Tuesday and decided to give the reply to Home Minister Thiruvanchoor Radhakrishnan on Wednesday. It was also decided not to hold any discussions with the government in this regard.

CPI leader C Divakaran said, the LDF will ask the government to include the Chief Minister and his office under the purview of the terms of reference. “Inquiry should be conducted on the role of the Chief Minister in the scam,’’ he added.

Meanwhile, CPM state secretariat will prepare plans to launch a prolonged fight against the Chief Minister in the days to come for his alleged role in the solar scam.

The LDF had already decided to conduct district-level campaigns seeking the Chief Minister’s resignation from September 1 to 8.
