Newdelhi: The Government has launched a new Employment Scheme to create jobs for skilled manpower. The scheme was launched by the Finance Minister P Chidambaram at a function in New Delhi on Friday. The scheme is likely to create one million jobs in the next 12 months.

Titled as National Skill Certification and Monetary Reward Scheme is one of the most important and ambitious job oriented schemes ever launched in the country. The Finance Minister appealed to everyone to work together to make this scheme successful.

Rural Development Minister Jairam Ramesh said every year, 3 lakh youth from poor families will be trained and given employment.
