Union Home Minister Mullappally Ramachandran has said there are no legal hurdles in ordering a CBI probe into the murder of TP Chandrasekharan.

Mullappally said the State government should clarify why the case did not hand over to the CBI.

Ramesh Chennithala had visited the residence of slain RMP leader TP Chandrasekharan and ensured a transparent probe in the case when he held the post of KPCC president. It is regrettable that the move to hand over the case to the CBI is getting late after he sworn-in as the Home Minister, Mullappally added.
