Congress leader V.M Sudheeran supports CBI probe in TP Chandrashekaran murder case. CBI probe is inevitable in exposing the high level conspiracy that lead to the murder of the Revolutionary Marxist Party leader TP Chandrashekaran, he said. He has send a letter demanding this to Chief Minister Oomen Chandy.

The letter also states that TP chandrashekaran’s widow KK Rema is on the verge of starting indefinite hunger strike on this matter. Government should take necessary actions to avoid this.

Opposition leader VS Achuthanandan yesterday revealed his stand that CBI probe is needed to arrest all the criminals involved in the case. He also stated that Rema’s demand for CBI probe is Justifiable. His stand is quite contrary to Party leadership’s stand.

On January 28, The Special Additional District and Sessions Court issued its verdict on the sensational TP Chandrashekaran murder case finding 12 convicts and releasing 24 others who were arrested regarding the case. The released includes CPM’s district secretariat member P. Mohanan.
