About 56 per cent votes were cast in Madhya Pradesh Assembly Elections when reports last came in. The highest 64 per cent votes were cast in Susner Assembly segment.

In Mizoram, heavy polling has been recorded in the elections. AIR Correspondent quoting election officials adds that the polling can be around 80 per cent. The exercise began at 7 this morning amidst tight security.

Voting gained momentum as the day progressed. The voting came to an end at 4 p.m. Voters decided the electoral fate of 142 candidates.
