RANCHI: JMM MLA and leader Sita Murmu Soren, sister-in-law of Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader and former chief minister Hemant Soren, has left the party. Sita Murmu Soron left the party leadership and joined the BJP citing that she has not received the respect she deserves to date. Sita Murmu Soren informed the JMM president and father-in-law Shibu Soren that she is leaving the party.
Seetha gave the letter to Shibu Soren this morning. Sita joined the BJP at a function held at the Delhi BJP office. Sita who is the MLA of Jharkhand’s Jama Constituency also resigned from her MLA post. It is reported that Sita will contest in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. In the letter, Sita alleged that she and her family were constantly neglected by the party after her husband’s death. ‘Party members and Soren family members separated us and isolated us in the party.’ Sita says in the letter. “The party is now in the hands of some people who are not compatible with the values and principles of our party.” Sita said in a letter to Shibu Soren.
‘There were conspiracies against me and my family. You have failed to stop this’ said Sita. In January this year, when Hemant Soren resigned as Chief Minister following the ED case, there was an attempt to make Hemant’s wife Kalpana the Chief Minister. Sita had opposed this by saying that she should become the Chief Minister. It is this political drama that has brought Sita to the BJP today.
