Veena Vijayan lodges complaint against Shone George for ‘false propaganda’, police registers case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The police registered a case against BJP leader Shone George on the complaint of Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan’s daughter Veena Vijayan. According to Veena’s complaint, Shone George has spread false propaganda on social media regarding a Canadian company. The case was registered by Thiruvananthapuram Cyber Crime Police.Shone George posted on Facebook that Veena has a Canadian company. Shaun has been charged with station bailable sections.

According to Veena’s complaint, she is being attacked as her father Pinarayi Vijayan and her husband Muhammad Riyas are CPM leaders. Meanwhile, Veena Vijayan faced a setback in the monthly payment case.

The Karnataka High Court had rejected a plea filed by Veena Vijayan’s Exalogic company seeking quashing of the investigation by the Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO). A bench of Justice M Nagaprasanna rejected the demand.

The court also said that the SFIOC may continue its investigation into the Exalogic-CMRL transactions. The matter was investigated and reported by the Registrar of Companies under Rule 210 of the Companies Act.

They fully cooperated with the investigation. In the petition, it was said that the investigation by the SFIO under Rule 212 of the same Act was illegal. The Exalogic company filed the petition in the High Court amid reports that Veena will be interrogated by the SFIO.
