Kochi: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Monday visited Zamra International Convention Centre, where a series of blasts took place killing three and injuring several others. He was accompanied by ministers K Rajan, Roshy Augustine, P Rajeev, Veena George, Hibi Eden MP, and CPM state secretary MV Govindan.
After visiting the centre, the chief minister and other leaders also paid a visit to the injured, who are undergoing treatment at the Kalamassery Medical College Hospital. They will also visit the injured who are admitted to other hospitals.
The explosion at the convention centre took place around 9.40 am on Sunday. Dominic Martin, a Kochi native claimed responsibility for the attack and surrendered before the police.
Meanwhile, an all-party meeting held at the conference hall in the Secretariat complex, unanimously resolved to urge people not to indulge in baseless accusations, speculative campaigns, and rumour-mongering in the wake of the blasts.
