RAIPUR: 10 security personnel were killed in a blast carried out by Maoists in Chhattisgarh. Reports are claiming that a driver was also killed in the attack. As per reports, the blast took place in Bastar district in Chhattisgarh. The slain security personnel were members of the District Reserve Guard (DRG), a force designed to carry out anti-Maoist operations in the state.
Authorities informed that 10 officials of the DRG and a driver were killed in the Maoist attack. According to sources, the security personnel went to the spot after receiving information regarding Maoist presence in the area. The attack took place while they were returning from the spot.
