KANNUR: P Jayarajan said that the face of the party in Thillenkeri belongs to the CPM workers there. He was speaking at a public meeting called by CPM on the Akash Thillenkeri controversy.

“Newspapers are promoting Akash and the gang as the face of the party in Thillenkeri. But it is not like that. There are 525 party members in Thillankeri and they are the face of the party, not Akash. Akash was sacked when I was the district secretary. The party has nothing to hide in the Edayannur incident. I was the district secretary at that time. Now Congress remembers only the man who died in Edayannur. But they forget the Congress members who were killed by the RSS,” Jayarajan said.

“There is no peace with those who said that if they are not protected, they will have to take other ways. You choose your way, the party will choose the party’s way. There is no division in CPM,” he added. Jayarajan also said that CPM has always opposed quotations.
