Communist leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal becomes Nepal PM for third time

KATHMANDU: Communist leader Pushpa Kamal Dahal will be the new Prime Minister of Nepal. Dahal known as ‘Prachanda’ was appointed as Prime Minister by President Bidya Devi Bhandari.

The President had earlier invited the parties to prove their majority in Parliament. Prachanda had the support of the opposition Communist Unified Marxist-Leninist Party and other smaller parties. Prachanda will be sworn in as Prime Minister at 4 pm on Thursday.
