Court rejects bail plea of human sacrifice case accused Laila

KOCHI: The court rejected the bail plea of Laila, accused in the Elanthoor human sacrifice case. The Ernakulam Judicial Magistrate Court rejected the plea of the third accused Laila. She filed the plea asserting that she had not done any wrong and has no direct or indirect role in the murder.

The accused had alleged that the case was fabricated by the police. The prosecution had informed the court that the accused should not be granted bail as the investigation is progressing. Lalia, her husband Bhagaval Singh and the main accused Mohammed Shafi was arrested on October 11.

Lottery sellers Rosli and Padma were the two killed. After committing the crime, the bodies were chopped into pieces and buried in the house. The investigation team had found this. The accused did the act for financial prosperity.
