THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: KPCC General Secretary and ex-MLA Prathapa Varma Thampan(63) has passed away. He died due to injury after falling in the toilet at home. The accident happened around 5 pm today. He was immediately rushed to Kollam District Hospital but he could not be saved. The body is kept in the district hospital.

Prathapa Varma Thampan who represented Chathannoor in the Legislative Assembly, is currently the General Secretary of KPCC. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and AICC General Secretary K C Venugopal have expressed condolences.
