Recovering from initial losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 131 points, or 0.6 percent, to a fresh all-time closing high of 21,165, today, amid the monthly expiry in the derivatives segment.

The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 47 points, or 0.8 percent, to 6,299.
