Newdelhi: Moderate to heavy rain lashed several parts of North India disrupting normal life. In Himachal Pradesh, incessant rain continuing for the past two days inundated several low-lying areas in many districts. Flood situation in Uttar Pradesh has worsened as widespread rain continued to lash the state.
Delhiites today woke up to a pleasant morning as moderate to heavy showers lashed various parts of the national capital in the wee hours. The weatherman has predicted generally cloudy sky with possibility of rains in some parts of Delhi and its adjoining areas during the next 24 hours.
In Uttarakhand, heavy rain lashed Uttarkashi, Nainital and Ranikhet towns on Friday. Traffic on Rishikesh-Gangotri national highway was disrupted due to landslides from Naitala onwards. Rishikesh-Badrinath national highway remained blocked at many places between Joshimath and Rudraprayag, due to debris on the highway.
