‘Some people go crazy when they see red flag; UDF and BJP trying to hinder development’, says CM Pinarayi Vijayan

KOCHI: Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said that the CPM grew by giving apt responses to the feudal lords who go crazy when they see the red flag. The CM, who said that many people are still allergic to the red flag, added that the government was of the view that the projects desired by the people should be implemented. He was speaking at the CPM state conference public meeting.

“UDF and BJP are attempting to hinder the development of the state. The move against the SilverLine is part of this attempt. The government will also consider the views of the Front and then present them to the state. The Centre is not taking a positive stance towards the development of Kerala. It has turned its back on the state’s demand for AIIMS. The state unit of the BJP is also opposing the state’s development. The BJP is taking steps to prevent the timely development of Kerala. The Opposition has also joined hands with the BJP to undermine development,” the CM said.

“The most important thing is to increase travel facilities in the state. It is reassuring that National Highway development has begun. Ten thousand crore has been earmarked for coastal and hilly highway projects. This is necessary for the development of the state. I don’t understand why the UDF and the BJP are opposing the SilverLine project. The UDF is allying with the BJP. They are only trying to hinder the development of the state,” the CM added.
