Alappuzha double murder: Accused left state, says ADGP Vijay Sakhare

Alappuzha: ADGP Vijay Sakhare said that they suspect that the accused in Shan and Ranjith Sreenivasan murder cases have left the state. He told the media in Alappuzha that the police have extended probe outside the state to nab the culprits and that they will find all of them.

The accused in both cases have been identified. This is a cat and mouse game. All are hiding but they will be caught shortly. Not many details regarding the case can be revealed now, he stated. The police had initiated probe outside the state after getting clues that all major accused left the state.

Five SDPI workers were arrested in connection with BJP leader Ranjith Sreenivasan and two BJP workers were held after the murder of SDPI leader Shan. All of them were part of the conspiracy and helped the actual culprits.

As the accused did not use mobile phones after the crime, the cyber cell could not get any major evidence. The police teams have been inspecting several houses in Alappuzha districts in connection with the incidents.
