Tamil Nadu has invited Kitex Group soon after the company withdrew from a Rs 3500 crore worth project in Kerala.Kitex MD Sabu Jacob had alleged that the Kerala government has been carrying out continuous inspections in the company within one month and so they are withdrawing from the project. Shortly after this, the Tamil Nadu government invited them.
The vice president of the Tamil Nadu industries minister forwarded a letter to Kitex Group in this regard. They also put forward 8 offers including subsidy, low interest rate, 100 percent subsidy on stamp duty and payment of 20 percent salary of staff. However, Kitex is yet to take a decision on this.
Sabu Jacob alleged that even after announcing that they are withdrawing from the Rs 3500 crore project, the Kerala government did not contact them. He also blamed that the government does not provide any help to industrialists but keeps harassing them.
Kerala is on 28th position in the country when it comes to industries due to this trend. In future, all industries in the state will close down due to this attitude. Still, they fail to understand the situation and keep acting arrogantly, he further alleged.
