‘People above 40 can get vaccinated without considering priority groups’; everyone above the age of 40 will get vaccine, says Health Minister Veena George

Health Minister Veena George has said that the health department has decided to give the Covid vaccine to everyone aged 40 to 44 without considering priority groups. The health minister made the announcement on his social media page.

The Health Minister has stated that those who turn 40 or above on January 1 next year can be vaccinated without any priority. With this, everyone above the age of 40 will get the vaccine, the minister said.

In order to get the vaccine, one has to register and make an appointment through the CoWIN portal of the central government, the minister added.
