KOCHI: During interrogation, Ravi Pujari revealed to the police that Kasargode goonda leader Jia had asked to threaten Leena Maria Paul for money. According to reports, Ravi Pujari said that Jia had provided local assistance for the attack as the actress was not willing to pay even after the threat.

Ravi Pujari told the probe team that it was Jia who gave the phone number of Ramesh Chennithala and PC George to make threats. However, the probe team did not fully believe Ravi Pujari’s statement. Jia, who is accused in several criminal cases, is said to be absconding. The probe team said it would investigate the gang linked to Jia.

The gang planned to snatch Rs 25 crore hawala money from actress Leena Maria Paul.
