Former NSEL head produced before local court by Economic Offences Wing

Former head of the National Spot Exchange Limited, NSEL, Anjani Sinha, held in the 5,600 crore rupees payment crisis, was on Friday produced before a local court by the Economic Offences Wing of the Mumbai Police. The court remanded him to Police custody till October 31.

 


During the interrogation, Sinha blamed the NSEL Board and said that his actions may have led to the present crisis, but he was acting under pressure. The court also extended Police custody of the other two accused Amit Mukherjee and Jay Bahukhundi, arrested in the case, till October 23.
