Kollam: The CPM has instructed cyber activists to circulate the LDF manifesto in capsule form. The ‘capsules’ will be prepared with an image and a short tagline and will be transmitted from individual accounts too. Different sections in the LDF manifesto will be picked and highlighted in capsules and then transmitted through the respective groups. The main developments during the 5-year rule will also be highlighted.
The CPM has issued direction to its workers not to abuse or target their counterparts on social media. None should attack other party leaders through trolls. The party has strictly warned cyber workers on the incident relating to BJP candidate’s act of paying floral tributes at the famous Punnapra Vayalar martyrs’ column in Alappuzha. Some of the cyber comrades had offered ‘pongala’ on this and the party instructed them to withdraw all the abusive comments.
There were also trolls on new media groups on the incident where a UDF activist climbed on top of Oommen Chandy’s house and protested in Puthupally. The trolls mentioned ‘UDF trying to repair tiles’ and the party directed its workers to pull down that. With elections fast approaching, the cyber activists have been warned to show caution and not to create any allegations.
