Chennai: Music composer and screen writer Isaac Thomas Kottukapally passed away here on Thursday. He has won National Film Award for background score for the movie ‘Adaminte Makan Abu’. He is also a five time winner of state film awards.
Isaac Thomas composed music for several movies including ‘Kuttisranku’, ‘Bhavam’, ‘Sancharam’, ‘Kunjananthante Kada’, ‘Parudeesa’, ‘Veettilekkulla Vazhi’, ‘Kathavaseshan’ and ‘Kurukshetram’.
He has composed music for films in Malayalam, Tamil and Kannada industries. He debuted in music composing through the national award winning Kannada movie ‘Thaayi Saheba’.
