Malappuram: A total of 150 students and 34 teachers in a school at Ponnani here have tested positive for COVID-19. The students and teachers of Maranchery Government School in Ponnani were confirmed with the disease.After one student was diagnosed with COVID, 684 persons including class 10 students and teachers were subjected to COVID test. All 150 COVID positive students are studying in class 10. None of them has any COVID symptoms.There are higher secondary students also are studying in the same school. However, none of then were tested yet. They will be subjected to COVID test soon. Students from Thrissur region also are studying in the school. So, all of the students are directed to stay in quarantine.
