The Special Additional Sessions Court (Marad cases) at Eranhipalam here on Wednesday convicted 12 accused, while 24 persons were acquitted in the TP Chandrasekharan murder case.

CPM Kozhikode district secretary P Mohahan, KK Krishan and Jyothi Babu were among those who were acquitted.

However, CPM local committee members KC Ramachandran and Padayankadi Raveendran and Panoor area committee member PK Kunjananthan were convicted. The seven-member gang of MC Anoop, Kiramni Manoj, Kodi Suni, TK Rajeesh, KK Mohammed Shaffi, S Sijith and K Shinoj were also found guilty.
