World legislators denounce Pak’s kill-and-dump policy in Baluchistan

Legislators from around the globe who gathered at the European Parliament at Brussels last week, have denounced the Pakistan government’s kill-and-dump policy in Baluchistan and have expressed their support for democracy, human rights and the rule of law in the province.

The event ‘Baluchistan: Destiny Denied’ was hosted in the Belgian capital by the European Conservatives and Reformists Group in the EuropeanParliament and Baluchistan House. Introducing the event executive director of South Asia Democratic Forum, highlighted the continuing oppression of the Baluch people and the systematic denial of their rights by the Pakistani government.

Canadian MP Russ Hiebert, British MP Andrew Percy, Baluch special envoy to the EU Mehran Baluch and prominent Canadian broadcaster and commentator Tarek Fatah, who participated in the event strongly condemned Pakistan’s merciless crushing of Baluch identity and the Pakistani army’s murderous campaign to wipe out dissent in the province.

The event also attended by activists, officials and diplomats from across various countries came just days after the European Parliament delivered a stinging rebuke to Pakistan in a resolution denouncing the recent murder of Christians by jihadis in Peshawar.
