SHIMLA: Raid on Gautam Adani’s firm in Himachal Pradesh amid setbacks in the stock market. The Himachal Pradesh excise department raided the C&F unit of Adani Wilmar Company at Parwano in Solan late last night. The firm was found to have defaulted on GST returns. The officials checked the company’s documents and other documents during the raid. The officials said they will consider further steps after preparing a report in this regard.

The raid came shortly after Congress leader Rahul Gandhi raised the allegation in Parliament yesterday that the BJP has close ties with the Adani Group. Rahul Gandhi’s allegation came while criticizing the Adani Group’s stock scam for not being discussed in the Parliament. Rahul Gandhi said that the central government did not raise the issue in Parliament because of fear. Rahul Gandhi’s response came amid protests over the continuous rejection of the demand for a discussion on the Adani issue.
