In Nepal, 215 results out of 240 direct seats to the 601 Constituent Assembly declared so far show that Nepali Congress leads the tally with 95 seats, CPN-UML 82, UCPN (maoist) 24, madhesi Janadhikar Forum(Democratic ) -4, Terai Madhesi Loktanrik Party (TMLP)- 4, Rashtriya Prajantra Party -3, Madhesi Janadhikar Forum – Nepal-2 seats and others 3 seats.

Meanwhile, the Chairman of the Terai Madhesi Loktantrik party Chairman Mahanta Thakur has been defeated by a huge margin in Sarlahi-6.

Nepali Congress candidate Amresh Kumar Singh secured the constituency for his party with 17,400 votes.
