Thiruvananthapuram: The government has decided to continue the ongoing lockdown restrictions in the state for one more week. Restrictions will be intensified in places where test positivity rate is high. This was decided in the Covid review meeting held on Tuesday.
Though test positivity rate dropped below 10 percent in the state the other day, people are asked to remain vigilant. If more relaxations are announced, the disease is likely to spread again, the health department warned. Following this, the government decided not to give more relaxations.
The government also decided to partially reopen worship centres in places with test positivity rate less than 16. But maximum 15 people will be allowed to enter the worship centres.
