Kerala to shut schools amid surge in COVID cases

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala government has decided to shut schools amid the surge in COVID-19 cases. The decision was taken in the COVID-19 review meeting held on Friday morning.According to reports, schools will close for students up to the 9th standard from January 21. Classes will switch to online for students in standard 1 to 9.Meanwhile, students from class 10 to Class 12 will have offline classes at schools.
