Fully vaccinated persons in Kerala cross one-crore mark

Thiruvananthapuram: The Minister for Health, Veena George, has informed that the total number of people who have received both the doses of vaccine crossed one crore mark.Over ninety percent (90.31) of Kerala population received the first dose and 37.78% received both the doses. As many as 2,41,20,256 people received the first dose and 1,00,90,634 received both the doses. A total of 3,42,10,890 persons received vaccines in total.

Wayanad, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, Thiruvananthapuram and Idukki districts stand atop in vaccination drive. With the state on the verge of achieving complete vaccination, centres see little or no rush. The minister urged all to take vaccine at the earliest as possible.

Women surpass men in vaccination with a total of 1,77,51,202 women received vaccines against the 1,64,51,576 men who have taken the vaccine.

Hundred percent of health workers and Covid-19 forefront fighters have been vaccinated with the first dose by now and 87 percent received both the doses.Ninety-six percent of the population above age 45 has received first dose and 56 percent received both the doses. The state received 50,000 more doses of vaccine and Thiruvananthapuram received Covaccine, informed the health department.
