AHMEDABAD: Drugs worth Rs 600 crore have been seized by Coast Guard in Gujarat. 86 kg of drugs were seized from a Pakistani boat. 14 people in the boat were taken into custody.
Based on an intelligence report, the Coast Guard said in a press release that the narcotics were seized through an operation at sea in collaboration with the Anti-Terrorism Squad and the Narcotic Control Bureau.
The Coast Guard’s operation was deployed by ships and aircraft. Coastguard ship Rajratan played a key role in the operation. A special team of NCB and ATS on board boarded the boat and confirmed the presence of drugs. The captured Pakistani boat and the detainees were taken to Porbandar for further investigation.
