Court nod to record confidential statement of director Balachandra Kumar against actor Dileep

Kochi: The Trial court on Thursday granted permission to record the confidential statement of director Balachandra Kumar who recently came out with fresh allegations against actor Dileep in the actor assault case. The Ernakulam CGM court asked the Magistrate to record the statement and it will be done soon.

Balachandra Kumar, a former friend of Dileep, had alleged that the actor received the visuals of the assault and that he tried to influence the witnesses in the case. The revelation sparked a debate and there were media interviews of Balachandra Kumar. He also said that he is a witness to the friendship between Dilpee and ‘Pulsor’ Suni, another accused in the crime.

The police sped up the probe following this breakthrough. The investigation team recorded the statements of Balachandra Kumar a few days ago. The police also submitted a request before the court to record the confidential statement of the director.

According to Balachandra Kumar, the visuals captured by ‘Pulsar’ Suni was seen by Dileep. He also said that he has evidence to corroborate that the actor influenced witnesses.
