Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt equalled the world record for Gold medals after he anchored his country’s 4x100m relay team to victory at the World Athletics Championships. It is Usain Bolt’s eighth world gold medal. He has joined American women’s 200 metre specialist Allyson Felix, and retired US track stars Carl Lewis and Michael Johnson who have all won eight gold medals at world championships.

The Jamaican relay team, that included Bolt among others, clocked 37.36 seconds in the 4×100 metre race at a packed Luzhniki Stadium in Moscow yesterday. The United States claimed Silver, while Bronze medal for the event went to Canada.
