India positioned to become net-security provider in region & beyond: PM

Newdelhi: Prime Minister Dr Manmohan Singh says, armed forces can defend the country against any security threat. Laying the foundation stone of National Defence University in Gurgaon. Dr Singh said, the government is making defence acquisition less vulnerable to unethical practices. He said, close attention has been paid in indigenisation of defence procurement.
